Nike Oregon Project Tracker – Kara Goucher’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Experience
HydroWorx is a huge supporter of the Nike Oregon Project, the group led by Alberto Salazar that’s shaping some of today’s strongest runners into 2012 Olympics trials competitors.
As part of their training regimen, the Nike Oregon Project uses HydroWorx underwater treadmills to give their athletes a well-rounded, low-impact workout.
The 2012 Olympics is only 18 months away, so as the Nike Oregon Project athletes attend functions and races, we’ll keep you posted through our special Nike Oregon Project Tracker.
Our first “tracker” participant is Kara Goucher, a female racing phenom who ran Arizona’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon yesterday, January 15, 2011.
Goucher is currently running 100 miles a week… three months after having a child. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon was her way of easing back into the racing scene in preparation for the 2012 Olympics trials.
