NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” Teams Up With HydroWorx

Middletown, PA–The biggest winner is “The Biggest Loser” in this reality based drama in which two celebrity fitness trainers team with top health experts – and now HydroWorx – to help overweight participants transform their bodies, health, unhealthy habits and overall lives.

The upcoming season of “The Biggest Loser” provides the 14 hopeful participants – who are divided into the red team and blue team – challenges, temptations, weigh-ins and eliminations until the final contestant remains to claim the title of ’the biggest loser’.

Murphy Grant, currently a HydroWorx customer and a certified athletic trainer and strength coach, developed a weight loss routine to be utilized specifically for the HydroWorx pool. Combined with ’the Biggest Loser diet’ and exercise routine, this additional alternative for participants will provide a ’fun’ way to lose weight during the length of the show.

The nucleus of the HydroWorx pool is a variable speed treadmill, directional water jet system and an underwater video feedback that will allow the contestants to exactly duplicate dry-land based activities at a fraction of their real body-weight.

The HydroWorx pool also provides something missing from past shows – a means of recovery.  Often passed over, yet highly effective, are the relaxing and soothing hydromassage capabilities of all HydroWorx pools. This feature is excellent for myofascial release, deep muscle massage and overall pain management and relaxation – the end result is a shorter recovery time from exercise.

The inspirational “The Biggest Loser” series premiered October 19, 2004, and the January 11, 2005 finale became a ratings heavyweight, scoring NBC’s highest ratings in the time period in nearly 3 years. The current season of “The Biggest Loser” will premier this fall with HydroWorx featured in the October 25th episode.
