Mets’ Ike Davis Rehabbing on HydroWorx Underwater Treadmill
After an injury to his left ankle, the Mets’ Ike Davis is now only running in one place — on the HydroWorx underwater treadmill at their training facility.
As Davis explains in this ESPN article:
…”It’s an underwater treadmill. If I do any running, it’s on that. Obviously you don’t put a lot of pressure on your joint. But I’m working out. I can hit and stuff. I’ve hit on the field and stuff. Like every other day I hit in the cage. It doesn’t really hurt to hit. It’s weird. It just hurts to run.”
