HydroWorx to Name First Annual “Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics” Award Winner at 2015 APTA Combined Sections Meeting
Each year, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) hosts the Combined Sections Meeting event where approximately 10,000 physical therapists and other rehabilitation professionals can share their expertise, learn about new technologies and explore the latest physical and occupational therapy trends. This year, APTA’s celebration will be held in Indianapolis, IN, at the Indianapolis Convention Center from February 5-7, 2015.
On February 6, 2015, from 5:00-6:30 p.m., HydroWorx will host an after-hours event, “The Value of Water,” in booth #1310. Following the panel presentations, HydroWorx will announce the first Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics award recipient.
“The Value of Water” attendees will enjoy cocktails and hors’ d’oeuvres as they learn more about water therapy from distinguished speakers; Dr. Dennis Dolny, Ph.D. and Eadric Bressel, Ed.D. (Utah State University); Keith Ori, B.S., PT (Co-owner, Orthopedic Rehab Facilities, MT); and Veronica Paquette, PT, ATRIC (Owner, Essex Aquatic & Rehab Center, VT). Topics of conversation will include how to start, maintain and grow successful aquatic therapy programs; the evidence-based research available on aquatic therapy; facility design considerations for water therapy approaches and more. Cash prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. The festivities will culminate with naming the first ever Healthcare Excellence in Aquatics first-place and second-place winners at 6:15pm.
