Anna’s Aquatic Therapy Journey
There is little that touches the heart more than hearing of a young person overcoming great struggles. That’s one of the reasons that Anna’s story is so riveting.
Anna was born with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, a rare condition that affects about 1 in 3,000 births.
At 6 years old, Anna has very limited mobilty… on land, that is. But in the HydroWorx physical therapy pool at Children’s Hospital, St. Paul, MN, she can enjoy freedom of movement that helps strengthen her weakened muscles. In fact, there is hope that through her regular aquatic therapy, Anna will be able to achieve great strides… literally.
