The Race on Harrisburg’s City
Middletown, PA-Harrisburg’s City Island is home to the 4th Annual Catfish Triathlon August 12th, and HydroWorx Aquatic Therapy pools, based out of Middletown, is the title sponsor for the event.
HydroWorx pools are used worldwide by physiotherapists, athletic trainers and sports performance coaches to help their athletes recover quickly from injuries and for conditioning with low impact. Weekend warriors also purchase the unique swim spas for their home as an alternative to land-based training.
The Triathlon consists of a .6 mile swim on the Susquehanna River, a 14.5 biking leg from City Island to Fort Hunter and back via Front Street, and a 2.8 mile run around City Island.
HydroWorx will be inviting runners and those attending the Triathlon into the company’s unique “mobile showroom.” In the showroom lies a HydroWorx L-Series pool. The L-Series lap pool utilizes and variable speed underwater treadmill and resistance jets, providing a low impact workout for any athlete. Once inside the HydroWorx Mobile Showroom, guests can view a demonstration of how the pool can be utilized for training and conditioning, as well as get a chance to get into the pool themselves. Anyone entering the pool will have a chance to win prizes, compliments of HydroWorx.
