Kansas Joint & Spine Institute Adds 2nd HydroWorx Pool
$1.3 M Expansion Project Boosts KJSI’s Aquatic Therapy Options

Middletown, PA
-The outstanding reputation of the Kansas Joint and Spine Institute (KJSI) is expanding with the recent construction of their new world-class facility.  In a $1.3 Million project, the Institute now resides in a state-of-the-art, 7,200 square foot complex.  One of the highlights of the new center is the addition of a second HydroWorx pool to the physical therapy division.  KJSI has been successfully using aquatic therapy with college, professional and Olympic athletes for years.

HydroWorx pools feature an underwater treadmill that allows individuals to reach their rehab or training goals in an environment that has been scientifically proven to reduce stress on joints, and provide a superior workout to land-based training.   The treadmill can rise to floor level, and adjust speeds up to 8.5 mph, in .2 mph increments.  In addition, underwater cameras allow trainers and therapists to monitor in real time.  The pools also offer strategic jets and powerful massage hoses to isolate trigger points on athletes and patients.

The Super Bowl bound NY Giants, US Navy Seals, Johns Hopkins’ Kennedy-Kreiger Center, and rehab facilities, training centers and teams from across the globe rely on HydroWorx technology.  For more information on the company, or for interviews with company officials visit www.hydroworx.com or contact Nicole Biescker at nbiesecker@hydroworx.com.
