Broken Femur

Sarah Weaver, an athletic trainer at NCAA Division II Alderson-Broaddus college in West Virginia details the rehabilitation of a 19 year-old baseball pitcher who suffered a comminuted fracture of his femur in a car accident.  After an open internal fixation surgery, the athlete is returning to action, aided by his rehabilitation in the HydroWorx pool located on the ground floor of the Rex Pyles Arena. 

Just three months after his devastating injury, the pitcher has returned to agility drills and running on land.
