AQUATICS CLASS

Three Back Surgeries & Arthritis

Three unsuccessful back surgeries and a case of arthritis won’t keep Jean in Henrietta, NY from staying in shape and working through recovery.  She goes to the Pieters Family Life Center, a part of Heritage Christian Services, for a water exercise class which happens to be the only time she can walk without her cane.

2 Heritage Christian Services members (Developmental Disabilities)

Gabby and Karen are both part of the Heritage Christian Family.  Gabby is athletic, loves being in the water and looks forward to every aquatic exercise class as a great sports conditioning workout.  Karen also enjoys being in the group class, and focuses on overall health and weight management.  Both girls embrace the community nature that both the aquatic class and Heritage Christian Services provide.

85 year-old lost 35 lbs

85 year old Margaret was faced with two knee surgeries and the task of losing weight.  She soon arrived at the HydroWorx pool in the Pieters Family Life Center in Rochester, NY were she began water walking and exercising her way to a 35 lb weight loss.  She not only has created a healthy and active lifestyle change, but she found a social connection with everyone in her aquatic exercise classes.
